DJ Ell (Elliott Sabbagh) is a turntablist DJ, mix engineer, and radio host, who plays and produces Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, and EDM. Living between Boston and Spain, he works with clients and artists from around the globe and credits his career as a DJ and studio engineer towards his early years of training since age five on classical violin and in music theory. Ell took his love of music from proficiency to mastery after earning both his Bachelors and Masters degrees within 4 years at the Berklee College of Music.
Having played extensively in the U.S. and night club residencies in Europe, Ell has been a featured performer at events hosted by companies and organizations including MTV, Vans, Red Bull, the Democratic Party, the United States Armed Forces, festivals such as Vanes Warped Tour (U.S.), Fallas (Spain), and alongside performances with national recording artists and groups including ASAP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T., Curren$y, J. Cole, Juicy J, Logic, Maybach Music Group, Slum Village, Twista, and Wale, amongst others. Ell also tours as 4.0 Entertainments Tour DJ, and has played U.S. tours with Big Sean’s Finally Famous, Machine Gun Kelly/ EST19XX, and Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang.
In 2008, Ell became the Co-Host of the Midwest’s longest running Hip-Hop radio show “The Prop Shop” on WCBN-FM Ann Arbor with host DJ Chill Will. He considered Ell a “musical, rhythmic prodigy”. Since WCBN, Ell plays frequently at other stations including Big City 101.3FM Boston, WMBR 88.1FM Cambridge, MA, and KSHI 90.9FM, NM. Since 2011, Ell has presented private and community DJ classes, workshops, and lectures at schools and organizations including MIT, the University of Michigan, and community centers across the United States.
